Starting his technology career as a developer, writing everything from low-level assembler code and devices drivers to large database driven business applications, Alvin Lewis has a thorough understanding of how software solutions are built from the ground up. He has managed corporate technology organizations, been a CTO for an energetic startup, and project managed software creation efforts for Fortune 500 enterprises. Having seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in the direction and delivery of software solutions he has learned how to succeed and how to avoid the mistakes that occur on a development project.
Understanding that nobody knows everything, Alvin Lewis is a student of both the industry standard Project Management Institute’s PMBOK practice as well as agile methodologies. Lewis holds a Project Management Institute – Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and a Scrum Alliance – Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.

  • Virtual Events Platform for a Fortune 500 software and technology company to support their event and digital marketing efforts. Environment allowed marketing staff to create websites for marketing events without developer intervention. Sites supported registration, content distribution, schedules, live streaming and on demand replay, and marketing document distribution. Platform produces over 500 websites a year with over 10,000 unique daily visitors for individual largest events.
  • Native code (Android, iOS, Windows) mobile apps for Super Bowl Volunteer management for NFL and Super Bowl corporate sponsor. App managed the experience of more than 8000 users at a time including volunteer scheduling, committee communications, navigation, event schedules, and news. The app was used for the San Francisco and New York/New Jersey Super Bowls.
  • Complete B2B and B2C eCommerce platform for a startup wholesaler and retailer of consumer products distributor and business. The eCommerce website was custom built to meet complex sales management and logistics requirements for wholesale business. The eCommerce site integrated Microsoft Dynamics ERP system for sales order processing and inventory control. Platform supported logistics planning, sales operations, and marketing intelligence in addition to eCommerce functions.
  • Marketing and Sales intelligence platform for labels of a music industry giant. Platform incorporated sales, radio airplay, tour appearances, publicity, and news to provide a comprehensive picture of the state of the company’s labels’ title driven music products. The effort helped focus the marketing, promotions, and sales strategies to assign marketing resources to products with the highest likelihood of commercial success.
  • Enterprise Content Management system for a Fortune 500 software and technology company. Project managed and distributed marketing content to support the company’s global sports marketing efforts. Project included content approval workflow automation, digital asset management, agency support, and celebrity request management.
  • Defined project management practices, standard, and project fulfillment strategies for a competitive marketing technical research firm. The company provides research, white papers, and marketing strategy analysis for enterprise level technology manufacture and service vendors.
  • Digital Asset Management system that cataloged and managed large collections of digital assets for use by art auction houses, museums, and publishing business. Copyright was sold to a publishing services vendor for incorporation into their comprehensive publishing automation services offerings.
